Thai grill transports visitors to a whole new world
SUGAR LAND (KTRK) -- Located in Sugar Land Town Square, Songkran Thai Grill is a passport to another world.
Songkran is not only known as one of the best Thai restaurants in Houston, but customers can also appreciate the rich culture of Thailand's history with its beautiful interior design.
'Songkran' is Thailand's most famous festival, which marks the beginning of the traditional Thai New Year.
Award Winning Executive Chef Jett Hurapan teamed up with interior designer Amy Karnani when creating this cool space. The 853 square foot restaurant pays tribute to the celebratory festival and Chef's special memories of his childhood in Bangkok with sleek black red décor accented by Thai art murals, rustic brick and modern lighting.
Former President George H.W. Bush and wife Barbara Bush are frequent customers at Songkran Thai Grill.
