TEXAS CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- Two Texas City Independent School District buses were involved in a crash Monday afternoon, leaving seven students with injuries, according to the district.
District officials said one of the buses rear-ended the other at a stop sign at Bay Street extension and 25th Avenue N. around 4:30 p.m. The buses were carrying students from Levi Fry Intermediate School.
A total of seven students were injured. Two of them were sent to the hospital as a precautionary measure and the rest have since been released to their parents.
It's unclear how many total students each of the buses was carrying.
The incident remains under investigation.
