All clear given after gas odor delayed students at Dekaney HS

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Spring ISD officials say Dekaney High School was briefly under evacuation due to a reported gas odor on campus.

According to the district, the odor was detected when students and staff arrived for classes Wednesday.

Students were evacuated safely to the football field, and those riding on school buses were re-routed to the Spring ISD transportation department, the district said.

The all clear was given just before 8:30 a.m.
