Cody Johnson to replace Old Dominion in Rodeo Houston show

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- After Old Dominion suddenly cancelled their Wednesday Rodeo Houston show due to a death in the family, Cody Johnson has been named the fill-in performer.

"Cody Johnson will be a great addition to our 2017 RODEOHOUSTON lineup," said Joel Cowley, the Show's president and CEO. "We welcome this talented Texas singer to our stage as we honor the men and women of our military on Armed Forces Appreciation Day."

It seems Houston audiences thought so too, gauging by their response to Cody Johnson's earlier tweet.

Previously purchased tickets for March 8, regardless of the entertainer name on the tickets, are still valid.

Tickets previously purchased for the March 8 performance are still valid. Refunds will be given to the original ticket purchaser if requested before 8 a.m. March 8.

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo runs March 7-26, 2017.
