A man was killed when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off into a bayou last night. Authorities say it happened around 7:30pm on South MacGregor near Calhoun. Investigators say at some point near a curve in the road, the driver lost control and drove off the roadway, flipped over and landed in a nearby bayou.

"We found the victim's body about 800 to 900 feet down the bayou here, just on the other side of the bridge," said Kenneth Campbell with the Houston Police Department.

Police say they are fortunate no one else was hurt in the accident since so many people use trails in the area. Authorities say they will have to test the driver's alcohol level before figuring out exactly what happened.
