HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A tiny 5-year-old boy had everyone cooing with delight after winning the RodeoHouston Mutton Bustin' competition Wednesday night at NRG Stadium.
A crowd of more than 73,000 cheered as Lane Adcock, of Rayville, Louisiana, held on tight for a ride all the way across the stadium playing field, straight to the sheep herd.
REPLAY: Wednesday night's Mutton Bustin' contest
With a score of 91, we hoped to learn a lot about Lane's prowess for mutton bustin', but what we got was even cuter.
During the belt buckle presentation, host Patti Smith asked many questions, but the response was the same each time.
"Was that fun?" Patti asked.
"Yes ma'am," Lane responded.
"Did you practice this?" Patti asked.
"Yes ma'am," Lane replied.
"Were you scared?" Patti asked.
"Yes ma'am," Lane quipped.
Eventually, Lane spilled the beans. He learned how to hold on tight by riding his daddy around the house.
We also learned Lane loves to watch calf roping at the rodeo, and loves riding horses.
