7-foot-long alligator takes a swim in family pool

PORT CHARLOTTE, Florida (KTRK) -- Looking for a swimming buddy?

A family in Florida was shocked when they looked outside and saw a 7-foot long alligator taking a dip in their pool.

The homeowners called police who sent a private trapper.

The gator was captured and taken to a private farm where it will be released for mating.
