SOLANO COUNTY, California -- A Solano County man beat the world record for catching the biggest catfish.
Sean Moffett says he went fishing in Clear Lake Saturday. Near the end of his trip, he spent 10 minutes reeling in a giant catfish. It measures 89 centimeters (35 inches) head to tail and weighs nearly 30 pounds.
The International Game Fish Association says the current world record is 80 centimeters.
