There was an attempted break-in at a pharmacy in northeast Houston last night, say police. Two burglary suspects are in custody, thanks to an alarm, but investigators believe a getaway driver is still on the run.

The silent alarm alerted police about the break-in at the Tidwell Medical Center on Tidwell near Alcorn around 11pm.

Officers say they arrived and discovered two men had broken into a vacant business and were trying to get into the neighboring pharmacy using a sledgehammer. They had barely made a hole when police arrived on the scene.

Both men made a run for it. Officers arrested one suspect at a nearby apartment complex and another running along Tidwell.

Officers believe a rental car parked across the street from the pharmacy was actually a getaway car. The person inside the vehicle managed to escape.
