Sam's Club says it was notified by the Food and Drug Administration that its Member's Mark PB&J Jamz is being recalled due to potential contamination with Salmonella.
The retailer says anyone who has bought Member's Mark PB&J Jamz with a sell by date of December 2012 through January 2013 and UPC of 0000759990103 can return the product to your local store for a full refund.
"At Sam's Club, we adhere to strict quality assurance controls and work with our suppliers to ensure that we provide you with quality products. The supplier is cooperating fully with the Food and Drug Administration to resolve the issue," the company said in a prepared statement.
Sam's Club, though, is just one of the stores affected by a massive peanut butter recall. At the beginning of the month, big retailers like Trader Joe's, Whole Foods Market and Target issued a recall for peanut butter and other nut products amid the same concerns.
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says there have been 30 salmonella illnesses in 19 states that can be traced to the Trader Joe's peanut butter.
