For the first time since Hurricane Ike, you can take a tour of a Texas landmark at your own pace. The Grand 1894 Opera House in Galveston is resuming self-guided tours today. The theater was named the Official Opera House of Texas by the state legislature in 1993. It stopped the tours because of damage from the storm.

You can take a tour Monday through Saturday from 9am until 5pm. The cost is $2 per person. And if you want to see a show, the box office is also open during those hours.
