According to neighbors who spoke to ABC13, Joanne Bennett was cleaning her kitchen when the bullet came through her home and struck her.
According to witness statements to police, two trucks pulled into a parking lot and exchanged gunfire. One bystander was hit in the leg and another was hit in the torso.
Damon Spiller's son said the 56-year-old was rebuilding his life and relationships before he was discovered shot to death in his bed at Harmony House.
Police told ABC13 that they had received 60 reports regarding the Shadowdale Oaks Apartments since February, but that only two of those calls had involved gunshots.
"We'd say he really dodged a bullet," police said, "but in reality, he LODGED a bullet."
The magistrate judge said the 27-year-old was already on parole until April 2026 for engaging in criminal activity. He allegedly fired nearly 20 shots from two different guns when a fight spilled outside the bar.
