ABC13 obtained surveillance video that shows the men blocking in the victim driving a Mercedes before jumping out and bashing in her window. Here's what happened next.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A brazen daytime robbery that left a good Samaritan shot in the foot has been the talk of a west Houston neighborhood this week.

The heroic neighbor, who requested to be identified only as Chris, was in the Briarmeadow neighborhood when he tried to block in two robbers at the corner of Freshmeadows and Meadowglen on Wednesday.

Surveillance cameras in the neighborhood captured videos showing a black car driving by the intersection around 6 p.m. that day. Minutes later, a white Mercedes that was being driven by a young woman who lives nearby stopped eastbound at Meadowglen. The black car stopped right in front of her and blocked her in.

Witnesses said that's when two men jumped out and bashed in the driver's side window.

Videos then show Chris pulling up in his large truck.

"I was coming home. They pinned her car in, and when they pinned her car in, they went to the driver's side," said Chris, who also asked to stay off camera. "When the guys got to the other side, they stole her watch, and they were trying to get in their car. I was like, 'You're not going to leave because the police were already on their way.' Then one guy started yelling, 'Shoot him, shoot him,' and he pulled his gun out, waved it around and shot."

The men managed to take a Rolex watch, valued at approximately $60,000, that the woman was wearing. They were seen on video speeding out of the neighborhood.

"I hope I never get shot again," said Chris.

Chris did not realize he was shot until well after police were on the scene. The bullet is still lodged in his foot, but he said he is seeing an orthopedic surgeon next week.

"All I was thinking was I have a daughter that same age, 21," he said. "She was driving a white Mercedes. I didn't think it was my daughter, but I was thinking it could be."
