Man admits setting multiple fires in Rice Military for months, charging documents show

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- An arson investigation led to a man admitting to setting several fires in the Rice Military area, according to charging documents.

Records show that Dustin Schlain is accused of igniting a fire with a hand-held lighter in vegetation on Knox Street on Wednesday. The fire damaged and destroyed the connecting building.

Schlain was charged with arson.

Charging documents state that the suspect admitted to setting multiple fires as part of an ongoing investigation in the Memorial area, which spanned several months.
