Road closures remain in Polk, Liberty, and Hardin Counties amid remnants of Edouard

HARDIN COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Road closures remain in Polk, Liberty, and Hardin Counties, as residents deal with high water from the remnants of Edouard.

FM-787 remains shut down, with multiple flooded cars still on the road.

"I'm on the fire department and we have had two rescues yesterday. There was one with some kids in their vehicles," Adyn Campbell said.

"Of course, everybody was saying it's just going to be a rain event. It's little more," James Robinson, whose RV was damaged in the storm on Tuesday evening.

Not to mention, a tree fell on Robinson's RV, flooding his bedroom.

"Felt like something hitting that trailer. And it did right above the bed where I was sleeping," he said.

Officials say water levels are expected to recede Thursday night into Friday morning.
