ABC13 Weather Alert Day: Round of scattered heavy, tropical downpours on the way for Wednesday

The Beaumont VA Clinic has been temporarily closed on Monday due to a roof collapse and significant flooding, according to a social media post from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.

The VA said it is working on deploying mobile medical assets to the Beaumont Clinic parking lot so people can continue to receive needed care.

Officials said the Beaumont staff are already working through this week's appointments and will be reaching out to each patient individually to reschedule.

As the ABC13 Weather Alert Day continues into Monday evening, White Oak Bayou has topped its banks, causing a high water location on the greenway, ABC13 images show.
