ABC13 Weather Alert Day: Round of scattered heavy, tropical downpours on the way for Wednesday

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- At least two weather systems are bringing torrential downpours that could lead to severe flooding in parts of Southeast Texas, which prompted ABC13 Weather Alert Days through Wednesday.
The ABC13 Weather Team said to expect an average of 3 to 6 inches of rain, leading to the potential for flash flooding in Houston through Thursday morning.
Drivers will need to exercise caution over the next few days and be aware of high-water spots.

The Beaumont VA Clinic has been temporarily closed on Monday due to a roof collapse and significant flooding, according to a social media post from the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
The VA said it is working on deploying mobile medical assets to the Beaumont Clinic parking lot so people can continue to receive needed care.
Officials said the Beaumont staff are already working through this week's appointments and will be reaching out to each patient individually to reschedule.
