1 hospitalized, 1 detained after shooting in west Houston apartment complex, HPD says

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person was rushed to the hospital after being shot at an apartment complex in west Houston on Sunday morning, police said, with another person detained.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call at an apartment complex in the 11000 block of Harwin Drive at about 10 a.m. Investigators said that the resident reportedly shot a person who was breaking into the home.

Police said that one person was shot and rushed to the hospital, while another person was detained.
