1 killed in major crash south of downtown

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- One person died Saturday in a major crash just south of downtown.

It happened around 10:40 a.m. in the 2000 block of Emancipation Avenue at Gray Street.

It wasn't clear what exactly happened or how many people were involved, but Houston police confirmed that there was a fatality.

A driver involved in the crash remained on scene to speak with officers.
