Jerry McLaughlin says his mom was devastated when she was described by the waitress as the "old b****" on her restaurant receipt. She didn't make a fuss, but he stood up for his mom and demanded an apology.
McLaughlin stood up for his mom.
"She said she was frustrated but when you're dealing with customers, it's not the way to handle it," he said "She's done a lot for me and for my kids. And that's one person, for me, that you don't mess with, your mom."
McLaughlin posted the receipt to his Facebook, and his mom got her meal comped, along with a $100 gift certificate. The restaurant owner also fired the waitress.
