Volunteers expand search for missing Rice University student in Florida

A Rice University student has been reported missing in Panama City Beach, Florida and authorities are looking for him

The Bay County Sheriff's Office in Florida continues to expand the ground search for missing Rice University student Reny Jose. Jose was last seen by friends on March 3.

The BCSO Air Unit, K9 Unit, Marine Unit, Bay County Search and Rescue, Patrol and Warrants Division deputies, Panama City Police Department, Panama City Beach Police Department, FWC, and the area marine investigative unit known as JAWS have been searching since Jose was reported missing at 11:30am on March 4. The ground and water search have centered around the beachfront rental home Jose and about 20 friends rented for spring break.

On Saturday the ground search expanded further with the assistance of a group of recruits from the North Bay Learning Center of Gulf Coast State College.
