Wednesday marked the 100th anniversary of the Battleship Texas, which served in both world wars.

There was a special ceremony Wednesday as 32 WWII veterans flew in from across the country to help celebrate. The oldest of this surviving crew is 101 years old, the youngest 87 years old.

The Battleship Texas Foundation along with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department spent the day honoring these vets, even giving them an American flag flown for them and their own special souvenir -- a piece of the ship.
