Richard Lee Young, III, 18, is charged with indecency with a child over an incident that reportedly took place on February 13. According to court documents, Young was working as a tutor when a teacher, students and another tutor all reportedly saw him touch himself inappropriately during class.
Most of the students in the classroom at the time were high school freshman, ages 14 and 15.
Alief ISD issued the following statement: "Charges have been filed against a non-employee following a district-initiated investigation into a recent incident. Officials were immediately notified and launched an investigation. The district is cooperating fully with the Harris County District Attorney's Office throughout the investigation."
The principal made staff and parents aware of the situation.
