Two accused in crime spree targeting Lowe's stores

HOUSTON

The crime spree began on January 11 in Round Rock, Texas, and recently ended in Spring, where the Harris County Precinct 4 Constables Office arrested two suspects. Christopher Lawrence Beebe, 33, and Brittany Erin Trout, 30, have reportedly been linked to nine thefts at Lowe's stores in Austin, Katy, Houston, Tomball, Kingwood and Spring. Authorities say Beebe would run out of the stores with stolen battery powered tools, primarily drills, chains and saws, and Trout performed as a getaway driver.

Houston police officers arrested the pair during a random search of a parking lot on FM 1960, in connection with a stolen vehicle.

Beebe and Trout are both facing a number of theft charges, with more possible charges pending.
