Suspects on the run after shooting in Ft. Bend Co.

Authorities are looking for five suspects after a shooting in Fort Bend County.

Officials say that just after 2pm, five armed males approached a house in the 15500 block of Prairie Oaks Drive. Authorities say the burglars were trying to break into the home when they startled the homeowner.

The homeowner came outside and chased the suspects, who knocked him down. The fifth suspect, who was reportedly waiting in the car fired a shot toward the victim. Authorities believe the bullet bounced off the pavement and grazed the homeowner in the leg.

EMS crews treated the victim on the scene.

The suspects are described only as five black males, believed to be driving a maroon Chevy Malibu.
