The arrest happened around 12:30am at the Sun Suites Extended Stay on Rogerdale Road at Meadowglen.
Officers noticed the car matched the description of a vehicle connected to a theft at a Conn's store on Highway 6 on December 30. They ran the plate and it matched. When they approached the vehicle, the suspect, who was inside, took off running.
Police set up a perimeter and finally arrested the man a few blocks away. Police say the suspect also had a couple outstanding warrants out of Fort Bend County. He'll be facing additional charges of theft and evading police.
