Police say the victim, a man in his 20s, was walking on the sidewalk when a suspect ran up behind him and starting firing a number of shots. The victim collapsed in a gas station parking lot, and the shooter reportedly stood over him and continued to shoot him.
Police say 13 shots were fired, and the victim was struck at least three times. He was rushed to a local hospital. He is expected to survive.
The suspect ran off after the shooting and jumped the fence into a nearby apartment complex. No description is available, except to say he is a man in his early 20s.
Police are investigating.
