Police are asking for the public's help to find a man accused of assaulting a Harris County reserve deputy constable.

Investigators say the man was driving an orange four-door sedan when he was involved in an accident with the off-duty deputy Saturday night.

After the wreck, the man began arguing with the deputy, and at some point, authorities say he hit the deputy with the right side of his car.

Officials say the reserve deputy opened fire in fear of his life.

It is unknown if the man was hit, but if you have any information about the culprit call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
