John Van Trump went before a judge Monday morning. He's charged with super aggravated sexual assault because the little girl was five years old at the time. The judge set Van Trump's bond at $60,000 and also ordered him to stay away from the girl, as well as anyone associated with her.
Van Trump had worked for the sheriff's office for 35 years. Van Trump's lawyer says his client is innocent and they're looking forward to their day in court.
