FBI searching for suspects in carjacking and bank robbery

BRYAN, TX

At about 9:20am, three men assaulted a man and robbed him of his vehicle, a 2001 white Ford Taurus, in the 4100 block of Oaklawn in Bryan. The victim received minor injuries. He was later treated at a local hospital, and released.

Just before 11am, the same three men are suspected in the robbery of the Commerce National Bank, located at 3020 E. 29th Street in Bryan. Two men entered the bank, displayed firearms, and demanded money. The men fled the area in the stolen vehicle from the earlier assault and carjacking.

The third man is suspected to have assisted by driving one of the getaway vehicles. The stolen vehicle was abandoned and recovered by police at the Grove Apartments located at 3130 E. 29th Street in Bryan. The robbers got away with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was physically hurt during the bank robbery.

The first robber is described as a heavy set black male with a mustache wearing a dark T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap. The second robber is described as a black male with a medium build wearing a gray hoodie with dark pants and his face covered. The third robber is described as a black male, in his twenties, 6'- 6'1", 200 to 225 pounds with his hair possibly spray painted with some gray and styled in a Mohawk. He wore a hoodie shirt and had a tattoo on his right hand that possibly said "boss."
