Wife indicted in Texas DA slayings seeks divorce

KAUFMAN, TX

The Dallas Morning News reports that Kim Williams has filed a divorce petition seeking to end her marriage to Eric Williams, a former justice of the peace.

The petition was filed Thursday, the day both were indicted in the deaths of Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse, District Attorney Mike McLelland and McLelland's wife, Cynthia.

The couple was arrested in April for what prosecutors allege was a plot to avenge Eric Williams' conviction for stealing county computer monitors.

Authorities say Kim Williams has confessed, naming her husband as the shooter.

Her petition says the marriage has become "insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities."
