It happened on Sunderland and Livings around 3am.
The homeowner, John Bickens, tells Eyewitness News he lives in a trailer on the property. The man says his ex-wife, who suffers from mental issues, set fire to his home.
He says he has lived at the home for the last 30 years but he moved out to allow his ex-wife to live there. He believes she is responsible for the fire. He says she's done this before.
"I was hoping the day would never come that this would happen. This was my children's house. This was for them," Bickens said. "She's been having mental issues for some time."
No one was injured. An investigation is underway.
