Phone app tip leads to drug arrests in northwest Harris County

HOUSTON

In response to a tip from the iWatch Harris County phone app, the Harris County Sheriff's Office Crime Control Division conducted four felony arrests, three misdemeanor arrests, one felony warrant and one misdemeanor warrant for seven individuals.

For two days last week, units conducted both covert and high-visibility proactive patrols in the Highway 249 and Fallbrook area in northwest Harris County. This was in response to an iWatch tip from a concerned citizen about possible illegal activity in the area.

As a result, Juana Johnson, 49, Randall Bell, 40, Lapasha Brown, 21, and Chad Joubert, 29, were arrested. They all were charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony.

Reginald Calhoun, 33, received a misdemeanor arrest for possession of marijuana and driving while license invalid. Quinton Gillyard, 40, has both a misdemeanor warrant and misdemeanor arrest. Reginald Haynes, 28, received a misdemeanor arrest and felony warrant. Deputies say they found more than $1,000 of marijuana on Haynes.
