Deputies say a couple was at the restaurant on Highway 6 and Clay Road around 10:30pm when they realized they were missing a cell phone. They went home look for it, and then returned to the restaurant to see if it was there.
Deputies say the woman walked out onto the road to look for the phone and an SUV hit her.
The woman was flown to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. The driver was not charged.
