It happened on Tuesday of last week. According to the Liberty County Sheriff's Office, a deputy on patrol west of Cleveland noticed tire tracks leading to an old materials yard owned by H.B. Zachary Construction.
When he went to investigate, he says he saw three men using a cutting torch and other tools to disassemble old metal overhangs. He also noticed a fourth man walking towards him.
The deputy took that man in custody and called for backup to confront the other three. When the backup arrived, they set up a perimeter around the other three men and were able to move in and arrest them.
The four men, Charles Lee Konstantine, 50, of Silsbee; Douglas L. Konstantine, 27, of Silsbee; Randall Scott Konstantine, 51, of Silsbee; and Gregory A. Silcox, 26, of Cleveland, were charged with felony theft with a bond set at $10,000 each.
Charles Konstantine is the father of Douglas Konstantine and brother of Randall Konstantine, say investigators.
