Police in Prairie View say Jaime Aguilar-Martinez and a 17-year-old friend were visiting Lake Sandy-Dade.
The friend noticed Aguilar-Martinez go under the water, but the teenager thought he was playing. The 17-year-old then saw the victim go under water a second time and realized he was having troubled in the water.
Investigators say the friend tried to help, but could not reach him. Aguilar-Martinez's body was recovered around 6:30pm.
