Police say the officer was crossing the Hempstead and Clark intersection when he hit the cyclist. The victim was taken to the hospital where he's being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police say the officer was responding to a call about a robbery when the accident happened, but he did not activate his lights or sirens.
