It happened on Franklin near Artesian shortly before 2pm. The officer is being escorted to Hermann Hospital in unknown condition.
We're hearing the officer may have been off-duty. The officer was traveling west on Franklin when an SUV turned left, striking the officer. The SUV driver says they never saw the officer.
The accident remains under investigation.
