Man, 24, accused of robbing ex-roommate at gunpoint

HOUSTON

Chad Small is facing a charge of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in connection to the April 1 incident.

According to the charging documents, Small and his girlfriend were allowed to move into the victim's home sometime in February. But on April 1, the victim asked them to move out because they weren't paying rent.

Small and his girlfriend packed their things and left, but the duo left behind a couple of bags. The victim's boyfriend called Small and they agreed to meet somewhere to hand over the bags.

But 10 minutes after the victim's boyfriend left their home, Small's girlfriend rang the doorbell. The couple's third roommate answered the door and told her that the bags were no longer there.

That's when an armed Small allegedly barged into the home and held the gun to the victim's head. He forced her to walk into a bedroom where a safe was kept and ordered her to open it. Small then allegedly pressed the gun against her forehead as she opened the safe and told her, "This is what it is life to get robbed."

According to court documents, he took $2,000 and told the victim not to call police "or it was going to be a long day for her."

The victim reported the robbery three days later and successfully selected Small from a photo line up.

According to the court documents, Small has not yet been arrested. Bond has been set at $30,000.
