They gathered on the steps of the Harris County Criminal Courthouse in downtown Houston to pray for prosecutors, judges and law enforcement officers in the wake of the murders in Kaufman County. Harris Co. District Attorney Mike Anderson says he's overwhelmed by the support.
"Having community leaders come out like this and tell us that they're praying for us and that they're behind us, I can't say how much that's going to help our morale. It's going to be tremendous," Anderson said.
The ministers say that while they don't always agree with the decisions made in the courthouse, they recognize that the employees are human and have families and should be protected.
