This happened on Highway 90 around 3am. Deputies tell us the suspect took off as they tried to stop him for a traffic stop. He led them on a chase on Highway 90, ran over some spike strips and bailed out of the vehicle. Deputies caught him after a short foot chase on Gulf Pump and Crosby-Lynchburg.
Investigators say they found crack cocaine in the vehicle.
