It happened last night in Patton Village. Investigators say a woman was walking to a home, when she was shot in the back. She was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.
Police and precinct 4 constables set up a perimeter to search for the gunman. But after searching for him at a nearby home, he was not there. The suspect's name has not been released.
