Twenty-one-year-old Kareem Stucks was taken into custody at East Millbrook Middle School Thursday after a school resource officer spotted him behaving suspiciously.
Sources said a student walking between buildings on campus noticed the man and reported it to the officer.
He's charged with two counts of sex offense, second-degree trespassing, and soliciting by computer.
Police said they found nude pictures of a 14-year-old student on an electronic device belonging to Stucks. They also found nude pictures of Stucks that had been sent to the East Millbrook student.
Parents at the school said they know what happened at the school Thursday could happen anywhere.
"It's unnerving but we do feel safe because we, you know, feel secure with our principal and we know he's on top of things," parent Cindy Schultz said.
But some parents wonder whether closer monitoring might have prevented the crime Stucks is accused of.
"Parents need to be more aware, too of what their children are doing, I believe, if he knew her from outside the school," parent Linda Toanone said.
Authorities say no students were harmed.
Police said they also found evidence that Stucks has been in contact with another 14-year-old girl from Franklin County. Investigators have notified Franklin County authorities and the parents of the girl there.
