Holiday weekend festivities and fun for free

HOUSTON

Kick off the holiday weekend with a screening of the movie "Elf." It's tonight at the Whole Foods on Waugh Street. The show is scheduled to start at twilight.

Be sure to swing by the Little Bitty Burger Barn before the end of the world this Friday, for their five year anniversary party and get a free quarter pounder burger from 5pm to 7pm.

This weekend take a step back in time in Old Town Spring and enjoy the holiday festivities with music, dancing and a petting zoo, along with a visit from Santa and Mickey Mouse. If you want to help a good cause and take part in a holiday tradition at the same time, head over to Discovery Green this weekend and take advantage of the Mistletoe on the Go. For every lip locking photo uploaded to facebook.com/visitdowntownhouston, Macy's will donate one dollar to the Make a Wish Foundation benefitting children with life-threatening medical conditions.

Take the kids over to Fun City Skate in Webster this Monday, December 24 for the their last chance to meet up with the big guy and put in their Christmas list during a skate with Santa event. The free skate with St. Nick will be from noon to 4pm and Santa will be available for photos.
