It happened on Highway 59 at F.M. 762.
According to Sugar Land police, the chase started around the Brazos River.
Officials said the suspect's car was swerving in and out of traffic on 59 until it slammed into another vehicle just past Highway 99.
The suspect was taken into custody. It was unknown if anyone was injured.
The highway remained closed while they cleared the scene and investigated.
