Pet food drive being held to help those in need

HOUSTON

Pet food is desperately needed for home-bound seniors with dogs and cats so they do not feel compelled to share their limited resources with their pet companions. Right now the program is running low on pet food. Dog and cat food is desperately needed.

The program relies completely on donations and dog and cat food (both wet and dry) are needed. Toys and treats will also be collected during the drive.

The drive is being held at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston, 3217 Montrose Blvd., Houston, TX from 7am to 6pm today and Saturday, from 9am to 12pm.

The program was started five years ago so that home-bound seniors on the Meals on Wheels program would not feel compelled to share their limited food with their pet companions.
