SkyEye 13 HD was over the scene Thursday afternoon as rescue crews tried to help the driver trapped in a flipped-over truck on the Beltway 8 feeder road at Hammerly. According to police, officers saw the driver steal the truck from the Spring Woods High School student parking lot.
Officer pursued the suspect. The driver lost control, struck a barrier wall, then a curb and a pole.
Firefighters cut him out of the crushed vehicle and he was taken to the hospital.
