The walks were held in Alief, the third and fifth wards, Sunnyside and Clear Lake. Houston Ministers Against Crime and the Houston Code Blue team organized the walks with local churches.
Ministers and walkers prayed for people and issues specifically related to their individual communities.
Organizers tell us more than 4,000 people took part in the walks.
