Thirty female high school students received hands-on training in rappelling, forcing entry, handling water streams and using ladders Saturday.
They'll focus on live firefighting and search and rescue activities Sunday, then attend a graduation ceremony.
The women of the Houston Fire Department started Camp Houston Fire three years ago to encourage women to become firefighters.
