A local soldier blinded while fighting in Iraq received a very special gift Monday -- a new home.

HelpingAHero.org presented retired Army Specialist Hunter Levine with the keys to a new house in the Woodlands. Levine's new home will include voice-activated devices and other safety features to aid him in his everyday life.

In 2008, Levine lost his sight when an enemy explosive device struck the Humvee he was driving. Though he was blinded, Levine kept driving to a medical unit with the help of radio operator.
