Alec Dreyer and Jim Edmonds requested the criminal investigation after a 13 Undercover investigation detailed use of the Port Boat by officials of the Port to entertain family and friends, and the relationship between Chairman Jim Edmonds and AECOM.
Edmonds was a high-priced consultant for vendor AECOM. A lack of records detailing who voted on past port business complicated the investigation.
The 13 Undercover probe detailed the empty cruise terminal, questionable spending, and a lack of secrecy at the port.
Below is a letter we received from the Harris County DA's Office:

"The District Attorney's Office will, from time to time, send closed investigation letters to attorneys upon conclusion of our review. The attorney representing Mr. Dreyer requested a formal letter stating the results of the Public Integrity investigation into the alleged acts of misconduct on the part of Alec Dreyer. The investigation revealed no criminal conduct by Mr. Dreyer.
The investigation into conflict of interest allegations against James Edmonds has also been closed, with a finding of no criminal culpability."
